Kevin joined LPMC in 2015 after a 13 year teaching career in Portland Public Schools mainly focused on teaching government and economics. Prior to teaching Kevin was in the mortgage industry having been a loan officer for World Savings Bank. Kevin loves the excitement of the finance industry. Whether it was helping his students understand personal finance or helping his current clients find the best possible home loan for their financial situation, Kevin has a strong commitment to helping people out. Kevin is not one sit behind his desk – he loves getting out into the community, networking and building his business. Kevin views his job as not just giving home loans but as developing strong relationships with people so that he can help people throughout the course of their lives.
Personal Profile
Kevin was born and raised in Portland, Oregon where he has been around the finance industry all his life. Kevin’s dad worked for US Bank for 35 years. Kevin graduated from Oregon State University in 1995 where he graduated with a BA in Liberal Arts and met his future wife Erika. Later, Kevin would attend Warner Pacific College where he got his teaching degree and immediately began teaching in Portland Public Schools (Marshall High and Grant High) for the next 13 years. Kevin and Erika have 2 children – twins named Scotty and Olivia. Erika was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden so a big part of Kevin’s life has been traveling to and from Sweden and attempting to learn the Swedish language. Kevin is an avid outdoors person having hiked all over the Pacific Northwest including summiting South Sister in Central Oregon.
